Art & Letters… A Joined Challenge with Group of Ten Photography Club

Long Shadows high above the Yukon River_editView overlooking the Yukon River near Whitehorse, processed in Photoshop and Tonality App.

With 2014 coming to a close and 2015 almost on our door step the Moose Jaw Camera Club and Group of Ten Photography Club are joining together with the Festival of Words to prepare for a challenge that will stretch members’ imagination.

The following authors have been selected for consideration for the camera club challenge during The Saskatchewan Festival of Words:

Terry Fallis
Audrey Thomas
Greg Simison
Andrew Pyper
Guy Vanderhaeghe

Click on a name and read more about each author and their works.

The Challenge:

Read one or more books and/or poems by one or more authors. Make an image that summarizes your impression/experience/vision of that novel or poem.

State your intent to participate with Rob Harden <rob@prairiemagic.ca> and Vaughn Taylor <mjcameraclub@gmail.com> to ensure the club has a firm number of participants. Images must be printed and submitted by July 1st, 2015 for the final presentation/show on July 19th, 2015.

Once members have expressed interest and have confirmed participation image size and printing details will be publicized.

Why not put one or more books on your Christmas wishlist? That will ensure you are ready to pick up the book and read during the long, cold winter ahead. We, the executive, can’t wait to see active participation and the final results. Stay tuned for more details during the next six months.
