During the spring it was suggested to venture further afield for the August Fieldtrip/Outing. The Motherwell Homestead near Abernethy, SK was the choice.

Saturday, August 27
Let’s close the Motherwell Homestead’s Women’s Suffrage season and open the Regina Symphony Orchestra’s 2016/17 season in grand style! Join us for a jam packed day (10 am – 4 pm) of activities including threshing demonstrations, the Field to Fork Festival and kids activities. The highlight of the afternoon will be Regina Symphony Orchestra’s Symphony under the Sky as well as music from Rosie & The Riveters! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a symphonic concert and a cold Bushwakker exclusive Motherwell Red Fife Witbier at the homestead. Event goes ahead, rain or shine, so come prepared!
Tickets are $ 15/person or $ 45 for a family (parents and up to seven children).
You may call to reserve your tickets or purchase them when you arrive. Parking is free.
If anyone is interested in this outing and wants to carpool let Rob, our programme coordinator, know <rob@prairiemagic.ca>. It is suggested that we meet at Carol’s Cafe & Catering @ 7:30 am if you are interested in carpooling ($ 10/person suggested contribution for gas). The drive is estimated at just over 2 hours (not anticipating construction along the way). Start charging your camera batteries and dust off your lenses. This promises to be an exciting event. Hope to see you there!
