Spring will be here before we know it and that means that P. R. P. A. (Prairie Regional Photographic Arts) is reminding us of the Spring Competition submission deadlines.
Click here and scroll down to the Spring Competition list. Please remember that these competitions are for individual members and the Gerry Fish Print Competition will be submitted by the club.
Individual P. R. P. A. members interested in submitting to the digital and print competitions, please also download the Fall newsletter for the list of judging clubs. Individual members must send submissions to the judging clubs to meet the deadline of April 1st.
The Moose Jaw Camera Club won the Gerry Fish Trophy in 2015 and 2016 and we are looking forward to a strong club representation for 2017. Here the general rules for Gerry Fish submissions:
Prints submitted must be 11″ x 14″ or matted to 11′ x 14″. Best of Show certificate and ribbon are awarded to the highest scoring print of all prints entered. Certificates and ribbons are awarded to makers for the highest scoring print in each category:
- Best Landscape
- Best Portrait
- Best Candid Child
- Best Nature
- Best Open
Each print must have the category indicated on the entry form to be eligible for that category award. Prints not indicated as to category are considered to be entered in Open.
Please note: Prints with a signature and/or copyright watermark are not accepted.

Every Moose Jaw Camera Club member may submit 1 (ONE) print for consideration. Please bring your submission with the standard entry form either to the general meeting on Monday, March 6th or drop your submission off to Rob Harden before March 20th so we can meet the deadline. There is no submission fee.
Once we receive club members’ entries ten prints will be selected to represent the club.
