MOOSE JAW CAMERA CLUB

Saturday Outing and General Meeting Reminder

April 13

Hello Club Members,

Please note that the Outing for Saturday is set to run from 2 pm till 3:30 pm. Anyone interested will meet at Mitsu on Main Street. Here is what will take place: There will be three groups. Vaughn, Rob and Jeff are the leaders. Each group leader will introduce a theme and you will have 90 minutes to make images based on the theme assigned to you.

The challenge will be to take no more than 24 images during the 90 minutes. Once you return home you will select three images to bring back to Monday’s general meeting to share and ask for feedback. This is not an official critique session, it is an opportunity to receive positive feedback and suggestions for improvement if that is what you decide.

Our May General Meeting is on Monday, May 1st at 7 pm. Here is what we have planned:

Please bring your submission for the “Encounters with Nature” exhibition. Check the Exhibitions page on this website for details.

May Theme: Silhouettes – please hand your USB drive to Vaughn. Bring up to 3 images pertaining to the theme Silhouette.

Hands on Activity:   Setting Custom White Balance in your Camera. Bring along a grey card if you own one and your camera.  Jeff and Rob will lead this segment.

Introducing the New Executive: This is our annual meeting with elections. Thank you to the members who have agreed to let their names stand for the new executive. Come out to the meeting and mingle with the new members of the executive over refreshments. This is an excellent opportunity to connect, ask questions and provide input into what you want to happen during the upcoming club year. Workshops and outings are planned during the summer – now is your chance to make suggestions.
